The team of Three, an environmental engineering consulting company based in Mexico, recently created a colorful office converted from 8.5 shipping containers. Irregular levels are scattered, the natural and beautiful greening environment is very beautiful in design.

The office is surrounded by rich vegetation in the environment, and the original vegetation must be protected during the construction process, so the container modular prefabricated building is their first choice to maximize the efficiency of construction and use. Throughout the construction process, the team always tried to use products with the least environmental impact, such as organic refrigerants and paints with low volatile organic compounds.

The use of large windows to achieve natural lighting, the external ceiling to reduce the heat caused by direct sunlight, and the installation of solar panels to supply power, the installation of exhaust fans on the wall to promote indoor and outdoor air circulation, etc. The team insists on building itself with a sustainable construction concept Office.

It is worth mentioning that the team director Lourdes said that the office is honored to have obtained LEED v4 certification, which is said to be the first in Latin America! LEED, (Leedership in Energy & Environmental Design) is a tool for evaluating green buildings. The aim is to effectively reduce the negative impact of the environment and residents in the design. The purpose is to standardize a complete and accurate green building concept and prevent the excessive greening of buildings. LEED was established by the American Green Building Association and started in 2003. It has been listed as a statutory mandatory standard in some states and some countries in the United States. It is currently included in various building environmental assessments, green building assessments, and sustainability assessment standards in countries around the world , Which is considered to be the most complete and influential evaluation standard.

The LEED scoring standard consists of the following five systems: site selection and built environment, water saving, energy and air pollution, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality. The current LEED certification categories include: LEED-NC for new building evaluation systems; LEED-EB certification that emphasizes building operation management evaluation; LEED-CI certification for interior decoration of commercial buildings; and LEED-EB that emphasizes existing building operation management evaluation Certification; LEED-Home certification for residential evaluation products; LEED-NB for social planning and development evaluation.
