For the 55th Milan Furniture Fair, OMA used marble walls
and glass panels to design a brand new knoll pavilion.
The stand of the exhibition hall combines a variety of materials
to build an exhibition stage for various furniture decorations,
which is called "asymmetrical combination of movable partitions".
The central diagonal sliding wall can isolate or open the central
space according to the demand of capacity, while the movement,
perspective and layering of the layered surface are based on the collage creation of Mies Van der Rohe.
The pavilion uses solid nature’s marble walls and glass panels designed
by Sabinemarcelis Studio to create a series of panels that alternate
between transparent and opaque, organic and artificial.
