Santolla is a seafood restaurant specializing in king crabs.
It belongs to the functional package of the adjacent IF Hotel.
It is located in Patagonia, near Chile’s Puerto Natales.
The restaurant uses recycled materials such as sleepers and modified ocean shipping containers.
The bar and dining area on the first floor consist of 3 containers,
and the two container spaces on the second floor are the kitchens.
Three-component segment design, the containers are not close to each other on the level,
but are connected by floor-to-ceiling glass windows that are recessed inward.
Through the glass windows, enough natural light can be obtained in the interior,
and the design with breathing rhythm is a highlight.
The restaurant is named "Santolla", derived from the Spanish centolla,
the wild Chilean king crab in the deep sea. In Patagonia,
enjoy the local beauty and delicious seafood. Dining in a shipping
container restaurant with nautical symbolism is more local.
The interior decoration mostly adopts the log series decoration, and the dining table, chair, wine rack,
and tool table are all logs of the same color. The chic and small venue
can also create a warm and comfortable dining environment!
A major feature of the porch is the staircase leading to the second floor
Modified from sleeper chains, proper industrial style.
The view of the restaurant at night is also of its own kind
