Recently, the smog seems to have surrounded the city,
and it feels like the rhythm of being unable to get out without wearing a mask.
Today, I will give you a case of a container homestay located in nature.
Of course, friends who are interested can still take a vacation and enjoy the fresh air of nature.
This two-story industrial-style house is located on the upper reaches
of the scenic Loxahatchee River in Florida, and is surrounded by jungle.
RickClegg used three recycled 40-foot white containers to build his special house by the river.
The first floor is composed of two vertically spliced containers,
and the other 40-foot container is placed horizontally on top of the first floor.
The staggered placement design creates an additional rain shelter and open-air platform.
The white wave board appearance does not contradict the surrounding green forest scene,
just like a white treasure box in the forest, which is uniquely noticeable.
The two floors are independent. Each floor carries an independent master room,
a bunk bed room and a public bathroom. The living room and kitchen are located on the first floor.
The self-contained tailgate of the container becomes the main entrance on the first floor.
Floor-to-ceiling doors are installed inside, and light shines
through the glass to the interior of the house, providing good lighting.
Various doors and windows are cut and installed on
the facade of the container to enhance indoor ventilation and light.
In order to eliminate the hard and cold feeling of the container,
a lot of warm and simple wood is used in the house: wooden floor,
wooden wall, wooden table, wooden locker, etc.,
to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere;
the side panel part of the flat joint of the box Cut out, the living room,
kitchen and dining room are connected to each other.
The open design of the public area enhances the sense of space inside,
making it more spacious and bright; the living room is installed with white
interior wall panels, which at first glance is no different from a traditional house.
This is an independent master room on the first floor,
with light coming in through the window beside the bed,
and artistic paintings hung on the wall beside the bed, which is very comfortable.
The double bed room next to the master room can be used as a chair or a bed on the lower floor,
and there is a small independent bed on the upper floor.
The bamboo curtain window decoration is very unique.
In the public bathroom on the first floor,
the bathroom and toilet are separated by a glass compartment and shower curtain,
which is neat and clean.
The second floor is raised by a straight steel ladder on the side of the main entrance,
which is an independent use space. The additional roof space is reinforced to
create a small outdoor platform overlooking the river view, which is very relaxing.
This is a room on the second floor. The wooden bed is particularly warm and warm.
The headboard and side of the bed have windows open so that you can enjoy
the natural scenery outside without going out.
The bathroom and toilet are located at the other end of the room,
separated by a white wall and shower curtain.
Although the space is small, the facilities are complete.
The bunk bed room on the second floor is similar to the one on the first floor.
Open the door to the terrace, and the surrounding forest scenery is in sight.
The stone path surrounds the house, and there is a small courtyard in front of it,
with courtyard benches and tables, which is very pleasant.
There is a stone bonfire in the yard, which of course can also be used as an outdoor cooking tool.
It is also a pleasure to gather with friends around the bonfire to chat.
It also provides guests with kayaks and bicycles.
Guests can ride bicycles to the nearby park or kayak to
explore the mysteries of the primeval forest, which is very interesting.
