Death Valley, California, recently recorded the highest temperature in its history, warning us that the earth we live on is crossing a worrying threshold. The deteriorating climate and environmental conditions have made people in the construction industry focus on how to build ecological houses to prolong the sustainability. The future trend of the construction industry will also be the use of sustainable materials and technologies to build houses, such as secondary use of containers.

This is the amazing Catalonia container house from Mexico. The new technology building uses the combination of the old and the new materials, and takes their advantages to the extreme: the recycled containers are selected to ensure the sustainability of the building; the concrete and wood are used to reinforce the outer layer to reduce the corrosion of the outer wall of the container. These technologies have been used in the construction of houses and buildings, and are very common materials.

As a sustainable building with containers, the project uses most of the recyclable materials for construction, and transforms them to create comfortable living spaces. Steel frame is used to connect different spaces, and humidifier, air conditioner and solar panel are installed to keep the indoor temperature constant.

The first floor of the ground is mainly used for living room, kitchen and dining room, and the more private space such as bedroom is set on the second floor. Through the steel stairs in the middle of the house, you can reach the second floor. The floor has two bedrooms. The design is simple and fashionable. Each bedroom is equipped with bathroom and windows for ventilation and light transmission.
