In order to improve the utilization efficiency, the architect reclaimed a miniature car showroom on Ponsonby Road,

 which already has the advantage of a large viewing window, which can be put into use after disassembly and decoration. 

But the relocation of the building was one of the most complex processes of the entire project, 

as it had to be transported through the narrow roads of the countryside, requiring demolition transport, 

which took nearly two weeks to complete.

The land is part of a new subdivision of Whananaki, which allows only single-storey houses to be built, 

so the building has been changed from two upper and lower floors to two left and right, 

consisting of a total of 20 shipping container modules. The unrestricted footprint creates a holiday home with beautiful views, 

and the redesign includes covered container access and a separate living space with a courtyard.

One of the first floors of the home serves as the main living and kitchen area. 

To reduce the discomfort of the metal containers, the architects spent a lot of time finding reclaimed wood, 

plants and eco-friendly furniture, with powder coating on each container. of steel plates. 

The floors are made with commercial carpet and the walls are lined with hardwood plywood, 

which is a cost-effective way to reduce labor, while also being a very durable material for warmth.

The space on the other level houses a bathroom and three additional bedrooms,

 including a children's triple room with bunk beds and two comfortable double rooms that can accommodate the entire extended family. 

All bedroom spaces feature light-transmitting glass windows, and the walls are clad in hardwood plywood. 

The bathroom is spacious and has two vanities. 

The house has a lot of room for future development due to the use of container materials that are easy to install and disassemble.
