Container House | Why is this luxury wooden house bigger than others? Uncover the mystery of maximizing the interior area!

As long as a container building is built,

the insulation problem of the box body cannot be avoided.

After all, the environmental requirements of "loading" and "living" are different.

But sometimes if the insulation layer is installed,

the originally narrow indoor area may become smaller.

How to balance the insulation layer and the internal living area

has become a major difficulty in architectural design.

This luxury log cabin in the woods in Columbus provided us with a good solution.

This is a two-storey house, the bottom floor is made of concrete,

 which also serves as the foundation of the container;

the upper floor is composed of three containers placed side by side.

In order to maximize the indoor area formed by the three containers,

the architect cleverly transferred the design of the thermal insulation layer

to the outside of the house, thus avoiding the loss of space inside the container.

It can be seen that the wooden frame built outside the container

is to prepare for the insulation layer covered by the outer layer.

In order to create a comfortable living environment

and make the original cold wave board rich in texture,

the house uses a lot of wood to build,

so that the appearance of this container house

is finally transformed into a luxurious wooden house,

amplifying the simplicity and warmth of this place .

Entering the interior of the home,

you will be attracted by the spacious and bright environment.

In the first space, the living room,

dining room and kitchen are gathered together.

The kitchen and living room are located at both ends of the space,

and the dining room is located in the middle.

The kitchen is open plan with full kitchenware and appliances, as well as a wooden bar.

A long dining table is placed in the dining room in the middle,

which can accommodate multiple people for dinner.

Two Nordic-style lamps are hung from the ceiling, which looks very stylish.

The living room is set in front of a large floor-to-ceiling glass window,

and the light and view from the window shows a beautiful landscape painting right in front of the sofa.

A comfortable fabric sofa is placed on the same gray-tone carpet,

surrounded by a coffee table made of wooden squares,

and a pot of green plants is placed next to it.

Access from the door next to the living room

and kitchen leads to two bedrooms and a bathroom on this floor.

The two bedrooms are actually interconnected, separated by only one door.

The interior design is based on simplicity.

The very industrial wavy boards have been retained on the walls of the room,

and the all-white tone makes the environment more tidy.

The bathroom is very spacious and has windows for ventilation.

Going down the stairs next to the dining room leads to the lower floor of the house.

It is also used as a living and living environment,

but it is obviously not as comfortable as the upper floors.

It can be seen from the ceiling of the room

that the container is directly covered on the space,

and the outline of the bottom of the box can be clearly seen.
