As us who have been brainwashed and grown up
by the TV series "Huanzhugege" over and over again, the sentence "
Your Majesty, do you still remember Xia Yuhe by the Daming Lake?"
is the beginning of the story and the beginning of youth.
After so many years, you may be familiar with Xia Yuhe by Daming Lake,
but have you heard of "Container House by Daming Lake"?
It's the American version of "Daming Lake," a dam camp from Texas.
With an extremely comfortable outdoor lawn,
this one-of-a-kind building is McQueeney's Lakeside Placid Hotel,
constructed from CONEX shipping containers.
Multiple shipping containers come together to
form two separate units on a 3 acre private campground a few minutes drive from New Braunfels.
This high-rise building with an overhead floor consists of two parts.
The "high-foot" in the lower part is a platform built with a steel structure.
After it is reinforced and stabilized, a crane is used to
place a number of containers that have been preset in the factory.
On the platform, complete the upper part of the tall building.
In addition, there is a vertical standing container suitable for hanging striking signs.
These containers have undergone a rigorous transformation to transform them
from a cargo function to a living function, creating a comfortable living environment.
The overhead floor under the high-rise building is
divided into an area different from the lawn with gravel,
which is mainly used for leisure activities.
Compared with the open lawn outside the area,
it has a shaded space, which is more popular in the hot summer.
In addition, the passageway used for passage
will be paved with larger stone slabs to facilitate walking.
The hotel has an outdoor deck facing the lake.
The platform is extended with a steel structure, creating a high-rise terrace,
which can make the view more comfortable and the view wider.
You can sit on the deck and listen to the sound of water pouring down the dam,
the wind rustling through the trees, and the sound of small children playing on the lawn.
The entrance to the hotel is located on the steel staircase in the middle of the building.
From here, you can enter the accommodation room that leads to the high-rise building.
Interestingly, the half-leaf container door actually acts as a guardrail and a lamp post at the same time.
Pushing open the glass door on the deck to enter the room,
there is a row of high stools, next to a single-bed room.
On the other side of this space is the living room and kitchen, which are connected together, a
nd you can see the traces of the connection between the two containers on the ground.
Leather black sofas are set along the corner of the house,
next to a window that looks out to the outdoors.
Continue going inside,
and you'll see a laundry room hidden behind a sliding door,
an iron door made from the leftovers of a shipping container.
Turning around is a bedroom at the end of the house, with bunk beds,
and the upper bed is right next to a long window,
and you can also enjoy the outdoors when you lie down.
