As the new house for marriage, a New Zealand couple Alex

 and Corban walls chose to settle in whananaki town on the east coast,

which is also the place where they met.

The original place needs "reclamation".

The choice of building materials directly determines the cost,

 completion time and impact on the surrounding environment of the project.

Finally, the transformed container became their new residence.

In order to improve the utilization efficiency,

the architect recycled a mini car exhibition hall at ponsenby Road,

which has the advantage of large-area viewing windows.

After decomposition and decoration, it can be put into use.

However, the relocation of buildings

is one of the most complicated processes of the whole project.

Because it must be transported through the narrow roads in the countryside,

 it needs to be demolished and transported.

 It took nearly two weeks to complete.

This land is a part of whananaki New District,

and only single storey houses are allowed to be built.

Therefore, the building has changed from the original upper

and lower floors to the left and right floors,

consisting of 20 transport container modules.

The unlimited floor area creates a holiday home with beautiful scenery.

The redesign includes a channel covering the container

and a separate living space with a courtyard.

One floor of the house is used as the main living and kitchen area.

 In order to reduce the discomfort of metal containers,

 the architect spent a lot of time looking for recycled wood,

plants and environmentally friendly furniture,

and covered each container with powder coated steel plates.

The floor is made of commercial carpet,

and the wall is lined with hardwood plywood,

which is an economical and effective way to reduce labor force.

It is also a very durable material, which can play a role in keeping warm.

The space on the other floor has a bathroom and three additional bedrooms,

 including a children's triple room with upper and lower beds

and two comfortable double beds, which can accommodate the whole family.

All bedroom spaces are equipped with light transmitting glass windows,

 and the walls are covered with hardwood plywood.

The bathroom is very spacious, with two wash stations.

Due to the use of container materials that are easy to install and disassemble,

 the house still has a lot of room for development in the future.
