Types and Material Selection of Containers
2023-12-25

Container, as an important tool for logistics transportation, its type and material selection have a crucial impact on the actual use effect. According to the different processing materials, containers can be divided into the following main types:

Steel containers: During the manufacturing process, the frame structure and wall panels of these containers are mainly made of steel. Its advantages lie in high structural strength, stability and durability, good welding and sealing performance, low manufacturing cost, and relatively simple maintenance and repair. However, its disadvantage is that it has a large self weight and does not have good corrosion resistance.
Aluminum containers: Aluminum containers can be divided into two types: one is an all aluminum structure, with only steel used at both ends of the frame; Another option is to use aluminum for all parts except for the two ends of the frame. The advantages of aluminum containers are light weight, less prone to rusting, good elasticity, and less prone to deformation during long-term use. But its disadvantage is that it has high manufacturing costs and is prone to wear and tear.
Stainless steel container: This type of container mainly uses stainless steel as the manufacturing material, and often adopts a tank structure. Its advantages are high structural strength, less prone to rusting on the surface, and strong corrosion resistance. However, its disadvantage is that the investment cost is relatively high.
Fiberglass container: This type of container is mainly manufactured on the basis of a steel frame by installing fiberglass composite panels. Its advantages lie in good thermal insulation performance, outstanding chemical resistance and corrosion resistance, ability to withstand large stresses, simple maintenance, and a large content accumulation. However, its disadvantage is that it has a larger self weight and a higher cost.
The manufacturing of equipment containers and metal packaging containers for containers is an important component of the metal products industry and plays a crucial role in the development of the national economy. Therefore, when selecting processing materials, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the actual needs and usage environment to ensure the quality and reliability of the container.
